Moraira's Festivities: Which Events should you visit in Moraira?
Moraira's Festivities: Which Events should you visit in Moraira?
Celebrate Like a Local, 12 Months a Year
From bonfire-blazing nights on Playa l’Ampolla to medieval street markets in neighbouring Benissa, Moraira’s calendar keeps the Costa Blanca buzzing long after beach towels dry. Below you’ll find a season-by-season snapshot of the headline fiestas, weekly markets and cultural staples confirmed on the official 2025 programme—handy for timing your stay at our villa so you never miss a parade (or a plate of fresh churros). Sunshine is guaranteed; the date stamps help you catch the confetti.
January–April: Pets, Parades & Processions
Kick off the year with the Three Kings Parade on 5 January, then fan the festive flame at the Sant Antoni Fair (17–19 January), where bonfires crackle and pets receive a priestly blessing.
Every Friday, stalls fill Avenida de Madrid with citrus pyramids and leather bags—your all-season source for picnic supplies.
Holy Week falls 13–21 April 2025, bringing torch-lit processions, palm crosses and haunting brass bands that weave between Moraira’s seafront chapel and Teulada’s Gothic church.

May–August: Fire, Parades & Open-Air Nights
Summer arrives loud. The Moors and Christians spectacular (4–15 June 2025) floods Moraira’s seafront with muskets, silk costumes and a moonlit castle siege.
On 23 June, join locals for Noche de San Juan: write a wish, leap the bonfire and rush into the midnight surf for good luck.
Early June also brings an Andalusian-style craft market around the castle esplanade—ideal for snapping up ceramic tapas bowls.
Longer days keep the Friday market buzzing into warm evenings, while beachfront bars add nightly flamenco sets to the soundtrack.
September–December: Harvests, Fireworks & Holiday Lights
Autumn cools the cliffs but not the calendar. 9 October is Valencia Day, greeted by lunchtime “bombardeo” fireworks over both Teulada and Moraira—pack earplugs and a camera.
Families in spooky costumes flock to the Lions’ Halloween Party on 31 October in Moraira’s church square, complete with games and prizes.
From mid-December the Christmas Market turns Avenida del Portet into rows of artisan turrón, mulled wine and live carols (22 December in 2024; dates announced annually).
Friday’s produce stalls and Sunday’s Teulada flea market stay lively year-round, perfect for stocking the villa with local almonds and oranges.
